Gibraltar looks to increase trade with Morocco

Gibraltar treats Morocco as a full trading partner under the UK–Morocco Free Trade Agreement, signed in 2019 and in force since 1 January 2021, which extends to Gibraltar as a UK Overseas Territory.

The Government of Gibraltar has been in talks with Rabat to re-establish direct air and sea routes across the Strait, and the UK's ambassador in Rabat has publicly highlighted the enormous potential for trade between the two.
